Tavia admits to developing a relationship with Raymond

Tavia admitted to developing a relationship with Raymond
30th Nov 2007

Tavia admitted to developing a relationship with Raymond - but a friendship kind of relationship. She was at a function with Kevin and afterwards, Tavia was able to pick up many goods including clothes, bags and shoes. Reporters laughed that was it because she lost alot of money during her trip to Macau so now she must find goods to fill in the hole. She laughed and Kevin helped to add that sponsored goods is a perk of being an artist. One shouldn't put the perk to waste.

Reporters noted that Tavia should just find a wealthy boyfriend to help her fill the void and mentioned her "rumored" boyfriend Raymond.

Excerpt from Ray's radio interview on 7th Nov 2007 "clarifying" the rumours btw Fungyi.

Not a news but excerpt from Ray's radio interview on 7th Nov 2007 "clarifying" the rumours btw Fungyi.

Raymond: before the news was out, I saw it in my fanclub's website video clips of the incident. the reporters normally takes 1-2 days to surf the net to find the news. When I saw it on the forums I was like 'woah...they caught that?!'
Host: you sound sluttered, maybe you should slow down and think carefully before you answer since this is your rumour
Raymond: I need to make sure I'm clear too so nobody is misled
Host: I've heard Tavia has a boyfriend
Raymond: yes ar......I heard so
Host laughed
Raymond laughs guiltily
Raymond: aiya you nearly had me there' (Ray accidentally spilling Tavia has a boyfriend to save himself)
Host: Why Tavia was holding onto your hand? Cos like everyone is just standing around
Raymond: Because eh..because girls and guys are seated separately and we know each other for a long time since training school...13th graduate group so I know her for 9 years so on the stage, she congratulated me so I held her hand to say thank you. Because we share a close/true friendship
Host : Like brothers?
Raymond: Yes ar...
Host: Tavia has brothership with a lot of people...
Ray changes the subject to saying: and we didn't let go because of the camera...there's heaps of people in the audience thank you...we are very open" [there's a slight repeat of the fact it's after him winning awards so it's congratulating]

Raymond named Tavia as his best onscreen love partner/partner with the best sparks

27th Nov 2007
Raymond named Tavia as his best onscreen love partner/partner with the best sparks during a recent interview on Eileen Cha's CR881 radio show.

With both being graduates of the 13th TVB acting class, they've known each other for 9 years and have quite an understanding with each other.
He recalls the "breakup" scene in TOB where they only had to rehearse for one time and it only took 1 take to film the complete scene. Usually, he notes that with such a complicated scene where blood, tears, and heartbreak takes place, it will take a couple of tries before it comes out as to what it's supposed to be.
However, because they understand each other so well, and have complete trust with one another, they're able to "throw the ball" to one another quite smoothly

Asked if Fungyi are dating in real life.

Exerpt of Raymond's Radio interview.

24th Nov 2007

Asked if Fungyi are dating in real life.

At first they basically discuss how Raymond entered the industry, through 13th acting class and etc. etc. Slowly moving into congratulating Raymond for winning Mainland award at the TVB awards ceremony, who would he thank when winning. And then slowly moving to the CD album covers, as well as incorporating bits of his filming. And then there's this weird act of something that mentions Raymond's past, how he dropped out of Uni halfway, but his english is better than alot of others, and they're still carrying on with the act. Everything goes back to normal after a break, and his music is discussed once again, still no mention of Tavia though. Okay, now near the end:

Alex=DJ; -reciting fax from fan: Are raymond and tavia going out?'

Raymond (laughs hysterically): It's really funny, she must've seen it on a certain news source. Those pictures that were captured, exactly that night -mumbles a bit, gets interrupted

Alex: I'm not lying, it says that (dating) in the fax.

Raymond: I know, but do you know what had happened?

Alex: what happened?

Raymond: They took the photos and said that, eh me and 'ah yi'(tavia) were on stage when HOG won best series award, mentioning that when the camera was turning to their direction, they saw tavia and my hands interlocking and then once that camera was on us, we let go immediatly.

Alex: Ohh...Then why did you hold her hands (interlocking) out of nowhere?

Raymond: Because just slightly before, -mumbles- got an award, tavia and I have known each other for a long time, in fact graduate from the same acting class, when she walked onto the stage she congratulated me and thus I thanked her, and once I wrapped up my thanks the camera had turned to our direction.

Raymond: And, everyone has to take a second to think, it's not just when the camera turns that implies that someone has seen it(hand holding). There were a few hundred(emphasized) people in the audience that saw. We were very natural in congratulating each other so-

Alex: Like brother/sister (sibling) relationship.

Raymond: Yeahh,'s pretty cute.

Alex: But I personally sense that you can get 'girls' whenever, like out of nowhere pops out 15 females.

Raymond(shocked): I wish, I do wish to date but even like this when 2 friends hold hands there's rumours flying everywhere, there's no personal space or chance to expand and find a relationship. (I think he brought it back to him and tavia thus 'even within 2 friends)

Tavia's response to the rumours btw Fungyi

23th of Nov 2007
Tavia denied holding hands. (Note: Again, it is an excerpt of the article which mentioned about Fungyi)

Raymond Lam thanks TVB for giving him the time to release a CD and hold promotions. Regarding the award ceremony end of year, Raymond was asked whether he has confidence. “Should be.”

On the other hand, Tavia Yueng attended an event with Bosco Wong last night. When she was asked regarding the news clip circulating on the internet, Tavia was shocked, “there is? I don’t really have any impression, it should be for congratulation.” Bosco wong helped tavia and protected her against those rumours and explained that when the event is in chaos, he will hold Tavia Yeung’s hands and protect her, and demonstrated it by interlocked his hands with Tavia’s.

Tavia Yeung and Raymond Lam spotted holding hands during TVB 40th anniversary night

Thursday November 22, 2007 Hong Kong

Came from the same training class, Tavia Yeung and Raymond Lam collaborated many times together and they acted as a couple in Twins of Brother.

The TVB 40th anniversary awards night ended smoothly and as always, there are rumours before and after the show. Heart of Greed, the grand production, took away the best drama of the year. This was commented to be one of the least possible rigged awards. However, Ling Ling (the newspaper) looked through the TVb forum and realised netizens posted a short clip of the anniversary awards night that was shocking.

Holding hands secretively

Letting go of hands suddenly

Acting as if nothing has happened.

Something is going on.
In the clip, Heart of Greed producer, Liu Jiahao went on stage to give a thank you speech. After thanking TVB, he thanked the crew and the artists involved in the show. At this moment, the carmera moved from the right to the left filming the artist’s expression and fanciful clothing, but was shocked to film Raymond Lam holding Tavia Yeung’s hand tightly as if there are many things he wished to say. But when the both of them realised that the camera is focusing on them, the two of them let go of their hands looking very embarrassed. Since the camera moved at a rather fast speed, the viewers who watched it live might not be able to spot it.

Actually Raymond lam and Tavia Yeung knew each other for very long already. They are classmates from the 13th batch of TVB training class and collaborated in many series like Golden Faith, Twins of Brothers and Face to Fate etc… The two of them filmed Eternal Happiness in 2001 and had rumours then. During that time, they went to mainland to film and went back separately from the crew ater by 2 days. They are laughed by the crew as having a relationship aboard. The netizens are supportive of the two of them holding hands.

Tavia Yeung has Plenty of Work Thanks to "Heart of Greed"

Tavia Yeung has Plenty of Work Thanks to "Heart of Greed"
7th June 2007

Tavia Yeung took part in a limited edition mobile phone promotion yesterday wearing a sexy top that revealed her belly button. She smiles that as the weather is hot and humid, she has paid for ice cream for everyone. She says she is just a guest and not a spokesperson, but she was still presented with a new phone.

Thanks to the effect of "Heart of Greed", Tavia has had a lot of promotional work and after the watch show earlier, she is now selling phones. Although she has not calculated how much she has made, she still feels very happy and hopes that she will have even more sponsors, such as clothes, shoes and cars.

Asked if she would like to buy a sports car, Tavia says: "Sports cars are very mother-unfriendly, I am very welcoming to my mother, so I would like to buy a family car to drive my family around."

Having always kept her love life low profile, Tavia has been spotted on many occasions with a 'fat guy' boyfriend and a magazine has recently published photos of them out shopping again, but they kept their distance. She smiles: "To avoid people guessing, I always keep my distance from my male friends when we are out. (Is the fat guy your boyfriend?) No, just a male friend. (But you have been spotted together many times?) I only have a few friends and I will not alienate them to avoid being photographed. If I am in a stable relationship, then I do not mind revealing it, but for now my work is my priority . The company is very open and they will not stop me making friends or having normal social activity."

Tavia Yeung Is Not Afraid Of Myolie Being Jealous

Tavia Yeung Is Not Afraid Of Myolie Being Jealous
6th of June 2007

Bosco Wong and Tavia Yeung recently have played a lovely married couple in "Heart Of Greed". Recently they have been invited for a watch' brand opening ceremony.

They asked if Bosco would want to be a spokeperson. He laughed and replied:"I would really want to, hoping with the brand to promoto my new series "War OF In-Laws 2007." He thinks that it's also good to invite him and Liza together to be spokeperson, because they both have a good taste. Asked if he wanted to be a spokeperson for the a couples' watch. He says it depends on the situation. Bosco and Tavia both had a couples' watch.

Bosco denies dating
Asked if he ever gave a watch to someone. He replied that he only gave a watch to his father. As for girlfriends, he never did, because when he used to date he didn't had much money. But now he also don't have someone he fancies. Bosco is collecting antique watches, each one of them has a big value. Reporters say his dad will give one of those watches to him later on. Bosco laughed and said it won't be the same as family "Tong" (Heart Of Greed) and won't fight for his money.

Bosco thinks because of Heart Of Greed he has worked more hours then he was used to. Refering to Heart Of Greeds final ratings that wasn't higher than the ratings of Jewel In The Palace, he said that he was satisfied with 48 points. He hopes that people ask him to film more.

Tavia appeared in a white dress. For being at this opening ceremony, she received a amount of 5 numbers. Asked her if she has expensive watches. She replied the most expensive watch is only about 10,000. At the event she wore a watch with the value around 30,000.Recently Tavia and Bosco have been appearing together at a lot of events. Asked Tavia or she isn't afraid of Myolie being jealous. Tavia smiled and replied that's she is not worried and she gets along with Bosco very well and that the three of them are very good friends.

There were rumours saying that new series "On The First Beat" was copied from "PTU" and «ç¥žç¶“ä¿ ä¾¶». Tavia Yeung never saw these two movies. The two movies are about the same subject, but the progress is different. She will support her own series, but doesn't agree if "On The First Beat" was really copied. But "On The First Beat" ratings was 33 points, so she is really happy with it.

Heart of Greed" Reaches Finale Week - TVB Pledge To Reunite Cast In New Series

Heart of Greed" Reaches Finale Week - TVB Pledge To Reunite Cast In New Series
May 28, 2007

TVB series "Heart of Greed" will be airing its final episode on Friday and a celebration party was held yesterday for the cast and crew, attendees included Lee Si Kei, Ha Yu, Susanna Kwan, Tavia Yeung, Bosco Wong and Linda Chung as well as executive Catherine Tsang, who promised that the cast would be reunited once again for another production, saying that no-one would be left out.

The hype around the series keeps on growing and ratings last week averaged 35 points, peaking on Thursday at 40 points, pulling in 2.5 million viewers. As well as opening the champagne to celebrate, they also took a guess at the finale ratings to pass 48 points. As for the steady rise in viewers, Tavia and Linda were both very happy. Tavia has decided together with Bosco to take everyone out for a buffet, whilst Linda will be chipping in with Raymond Lam to pay for karaoke. As for the pledge from Catherine for another series together, they all joined together and said: "That would be the best!"

Catherine also wished Bosco good look for the Thailand release of his series "Devil's Disciple" in Thailand as Bosco and Kevin will be flying out to promote the show and record the Thai theme song tomorrow. Bosco says: "I have to do 20 interviews in 3 days, so I have to take over ten outfits. Fortunately I have my sponsors to help me out." As for another series with the "Heart" cast, Bosco says: "Of course I would like to film this, the best would be to carry on the theme of food! (But isn't it boring seeing you paired with Tavia again?) So next time we should have a big swap around and Ha Yu should be paired with Fala and I will be paired with Susanna. (Why don't you choose Fala?) We have had rumours so it would be boring. I'd like a change even if it is with Linda!"

With the ratings peaking when Susanna's 'Sai Kai' divorced Ha Yu in the show on Thursday, even beating Dai Kai's death scene, this proves her popularity has risen a lot. She says happily: "I am really happy, although people scold me every day, I am still happy."

She indicates that she is not being scolded in the streets, but in the internet forum polls, where netizens will talk about every scene and say to her: "Sai Kai, stop it now! Sheung Joi Dak is tricking you, please return to Dai Bau!" She feels that it is rare for a series to attract viewers' concern in this way and it is down to several elements, including the script, the roles and the media coverage.

As for her episode even beating Si Kei's big scene, she says: "The opening is very important because it has caught the viewers' attention and the ratings keep getting better. (Are you hoping for a new record in the ratings?) I am confident, but as for how much, I hope we will be as good as 'Jewel in the Palace' and 'War and Beauty'."

In order to celebrate the ratings, Susanna and Ha Yu will be taking everyone out for dinner. Asked if she would like an award at the end of the year? She says: "I have not really thought about awards, I am already very good and for people to say I am performing well is already an award for me, so if I do receive one, then it will be a bonus. (Is this your representative piece?) I daren't claim it to be, because I am just a high school student when it comes to filming series. I can just say it was a very memorable production and I will continue to sing." As for the original cast being reunited, she is very supportive, but hopes that it will be a longer series as 40 episodes is too short.

Following the success of airing the finale to "Jewel in the Palace" in a shopping centre in the past, the malls of Hong Kong have been fighting for the right to air the finale to "Heart" in their precints on Friday. TVB sold these rights to the highest bidder and it was Tsuen Wan's Discovery Park that won. They will also be hosting a special abalone banquet in the centre to mark the occasion. Although they lost out, Hollywood Plaza will be airing some other episodes this week on a 250 inch screen and will also be holding some promotional events and lucky draws to win abalone prizes. With rumours on the internet that the show will have two endings, producer Lau Ka Ho denied this yesterday.

Hong Kong Star Raymond Lam is Fluent In Taiwanese

Hong Kong Star Raymond Lam is Fluent In Taiwanese
20th May 2007

Raymond Lam, who went to Taiwan to promote his series "Face to Fate", met one of his "people"! Raymond's actually from Xiamen, and was fluent in Taiwanese. When he was at the radio station, he found out that the host Ng Kin Hang was also from Xiamen; the both happily chatted. A Hong Kong star actually knows how to speak Taiwanese; Raymond Lam's in "Face to Fate" which is airing on TVBS-G at 9pm. He especially flew to Taiwan for promotions and showed his Taiwanese skills, which amazed many others, because none of them thought a Hong Kong star would be able to speak it. Raymond laughs, he's 100% from Xiamen, and returned to Hong Kong for his career; in Hong Kong nobody speaks his language, so going to Taiwan gave him a change to speak it. Raymond accepted the invitation to a radio show hosted by Ng Kin Hang and the two of them realized that they came from the same place, and Ng regretted for knowning Raymond so late, because Raymond's father is Lam Wah Kwok, Ng says, "I should have known you earlier, I could have been rich!" Raymond also says, besides Ng Kin Hang, another person that's from the same region as him is Ng Man Dat, the famous actor. Raymond explains, in Hong Kong, nobody can communicate with him in Taiwanese,in the 8 years of being an actor, he only spoke Taiwanese to Ng Man Dat. When the two of them were talking, they realized that they were both from Xiamen, and Ng Man Dat's region was very close to Raymond and could have swam there.

Tavia Yeung - The Worst of a Woman's Heart

Tavia Yeung - The Worst of a Woman's Heart

13th of May 2007

Tavia Yeung - The Worst of a Woman's Heart
After seven years in the industry, Tavia Yeung has recently received high acclaim for her role in hit drama "Heart of Greed" and her acting talent has been brought to light.
TVB's series "Heart of Greed" has some very twisting storylines that have been the talking point of the city recently as have the characters in the show. Apart from the veteran stars such as Lee Si Kei, Susanna Kwan and Ha Yu receiving praise for their performances, rising female star Tavia has also been accepted as many netizens comment on the improvements to her acting ability, allowing her to break through the young female artistes and become tipped to be the next leading lady.

In response to the good reviews for her acting, Tavia says: "I am very happy and never imagined I would receive so many compliments, because this character has an affair and drinks and smokes, so I was worried that she would not be well accepted. With such a breakthrough, it just proves that if a woman is not bad, then she will not be loved by a man."

Low Profile - No Gossip
Tavia was a student of the 13th Artiste Training Class and after her graduation, she was immediately selected by a producer to take part in "Golden Faith" that starred Gallen Lo and Jessica Hsuan. Since then, she has had one series after another and in the series "The Awakening Story", she forged a road for herself by playing Maggie Cheung Ho Yee's sister. As there are some elements of similarity in their appearances, this earned her the title of 'Maggie Lookalike', but through her subsequent hard work, she moved out of Maggie's shadow and found her own tranche. In seven years, Tavia has filmed over 40 series and among all her roles, her favourite was Tam Chu Mei in "Dicey Business": "The character was one where I had to pack my bust to portray a 36D and also had to give her a speech impediment, so it was a breakthrough and a challenge."

Since entering the industry, Tavia has kept a low profile and has rarely had any rumours or gossip. Although this is a disadvantage for her popularity, but she does not lose out on acting talent at all. In 2004, she took the TVB anniversary award for "Most Improved Female" for her role in "Vigilante Force", so no wonder she has been the subject of promotion by the company.

Sudden Change in Figure - Sexy Object
Since her appearance, Tavia has always portrayed an image of being very innocent and simple, like the girl next door, wearing very conservative clothes in front of the camera and giving a tomboyish look. Only after playing the sexy object in "Dicey Business" did she wave goodbye to her tomboy image, becoming more feminine and more sexy and giving everyone a fresh surprise. Recently she has become spokemodel for slimming and breast enhancement companies, often taking part in sexy promotional shows or shooting ads. Having sucessfully changed her image, Tavia says: "In showbiz you cannot stay the same all the time, but accepting a sexier image does not mean that I am sexually promiscuous. I do not want to go to down the sexy route, I just want to extend my range of images and not limit myself to the girl next door."
Changing Roles - Polishing Acting Skills
2001 - The Awakening StoryFresh on the scene, Tavia worked with leading lady Maggie Cheung as her younger sister Suen Hing Yan. Although she did not have much screentime, her resemblance to Maggie earned her the nickname of 'Maggie Lookalike' and she became noticed.
2003 - Whatever it Takes
Leading lady Tavia plays Mo Yung Suet, who is both intelligent and beautiful, but very stubborn. She falls for Evergreen Mak and gives her life for him in the end. As her ancient costume image is beautiful, she becomes target to be selected for many other ancient dramas in the future.
2003 - Vigilante Force
Although the series is led by Bowie Lam, Benny Chan and Kenix Kwok, with Tavia in a supporting role, her character as an unmarried mother Kelly Wan and her hugely fluctuating moods gave her a lot of screentime and won her the award for "Most Improved Female" as her skills became recognised.
2005 - The Academy
The series was based on police cadets, but Tavia's character was from a family of conmen. She had plenty of romance scenes with cadet Ron Ng, including some passionate kiss scenes that were picked out as real kisses full of emotion.
2006 - Dicey Business
The storyline was about the battles between Bobby Au Yeung and Michael Miu, but Tavia's role of Tam Chu Mei was particularly eyecatching and she had to put in some fake breasts for her role. With the character being greedy and amusing, she broke through her image of being a good girl and the fresh image broke the mould.
Praises from Seniors - Crying on Cue
Tavia worked with many veteran actors in "Heart", so what do they have to say about her?
Lee Si Kei: Tavia is very smart, her acting is very regulated, especially when she is in an emotional scene, when she becomes very absorbed, crying on cue and very skilful! Her obstinate character is very convincing and she is really very good.
Susanna Kwan: She is a good girl! Her acting is very professional and the deepest impression for me was when she was crying, she would do it exactly when needed and it was like turning on a tap, she could control it so well. Also her crying look is not ugly at all.

More Fine Dining for "Heart of Greed" Cast - Lee Si Kei is Not Poor

More Fine Dining for "Heart of Greed" Cast - Lee Si Kei is Not Poor
May 8, 2007

Popular series "Heart of Greed" has had its fair share of dinner parties for the cast and crew and on Monday it was the turn of Lee Si Kei and Susanna Kwan to pay for three tables, taking the others out for another abalone meal. During this, they joined with 'Dai Bau' Ha Yu to announce the ratings results for last week, averaging at 32 points and they broke open the champagne to celebrate.

Also in attendance at this meal were Tavia Yeung, Linda Chung, Tracy Ip and Lai Lok Yi. However, Moses Chan, Bosco Wong and Yoyo Mung were all absent, probably busy filming for other series. With recent reports that she was living in poverty, Si Kei was asked how much this meal was costing her and Susanna and she smiled: "It is not too expensive, I can cope with it. (The reports suggest you are living frugally?) They are making theories about me when they see me shopping in Sham Shui Po, but they should not be so shallow." Si Kei also reveals that she plans to buy a car and an apartment. As she needed assistance walking when she was ill, then she could not drive herself, but now she has more or less recovered, she is starting to reconsider buying her own home and transport again. So does this mean she is not as poor as they say, she smiles: "So I will treat those reports as promotion. (Do you mind?) I am past the age of caring." As for the series doing well, Si Kei and Susanna have taken advantage of this to take on some promotional jobs to earn more money, but Si Kei says that she does not know how to do this very well because she is a little 'dopey'.

Linda was asked when it was her turn to pay for dinner and she said: "I am in the queue and I have never filmed a series with quite so many parties, so maybe I will look for a private and comfortable restaurant to have a buffet in. (Will you put on weight with so many meals?) No, I have lost weight, so I will eat more." Tavia says that all these dinner parties have made her very fussy and if she has to take the others out, she does not know what to eat. She also smiles that she is saving money, but of course she cannot afford abalone or sharks fin, so maybe she will go for sashimi instead.

Cast of 'Heart of Greed' Celebrates Susanna Kwan's Birthday

Cast of 'Heart of Greed' Celebrates Susanna Kwan's Birthday
May 4, 2007

TVB's "Heart of Greed" had filmed earlier in an abalone store and the owner invited the cast and crew members out to a special abalone and red wine banquet earlier, also celebrating Susanna Kwan's 49th birthday. Those in attendance included Lee Si Kei, Moses Chan, Tavia Yeung and Bosco Wong. For her birthday wish, Susanna hopes for good health and world peace.

Susanna has had her fair share of gossip recently, firstly with rumours of animoscity between her and Lee Si Kei and then suggestions that she has been living off entertainment tycoon Cheung Yiu Wing for twenty years. In response, she says lightly: "The animoscity is between our characters in the storyline. (Do you know Mr Cheung well?) Of course I do, we have known each other for so many years and he has helped me to release my album and hold my concert." She insists that she will just laugh off the rumours and treat them as the offshoot of the popularity gained through the series that is causing the gossip. She adds: "I hope that they will just let it drop, he is a senior and an older person, so please give him some space. (Will you apologise to Mrs Cheung?) No, you wrote it, so it is nothing to do with me." Asked if she has any courters, she says she does not, but she is still living very happily especially after returning to filming series in Hong Kong, when she has been able to work with two of the senior ladies, Liza Wang and Si Kei. This makes her feel very fortunate and she is very happy working with such a big group of people, so she hopes that "Heart" will have a sequel. Asked how the deceased characters can come back, she says: "We can film another series with the same cast."

As well as the stories about her and Susanna, Si Kei has also had reports that she is living like a pauper and has to buy clothes costing just a few dollars. She says calmly in response to this: "It doesn't matter, maybe they just want to fight for readership. I will not get angry, maybe people will treat me even better!" She also reveals that as the cast of "Jewels Splendor" are away filming in Thailand, she has four days off because she does not have to go. Originally she had planned to go to France for a short vacation, but she does not really have enough time, so maybe she will go to Shanghai with a friend instead. Talking of the good ratings for "Heart", which reached a peak of 34 points and an average of 33 points, Si Kei agrees that the reviews have been very good and as for Susanna's suggestion of a sequel, she says: "My character has died, how can we do it? However, the cast and crew were all very happy, especially Ha Yu and Louis Yuen who really brought out the atmosphere."

Tavia and Moses presented some jewellery and red wine to Susanna as a birthday gift and Moses explained that as he did not have time to go shopping for a gift, he chose a bottle of red wine from his own collection to present to her. As for recent rumours that Linda Chung has been 'sticking' to him and he has been giving her lifts, he smiles: "I have not given her any lifts, even if I did, it was 'dak dak dei' (his character's nickname) who was driving her." Moses admits that he is the rumour kind, so when he sees other women, he will move away to avoid any more gossip.

Bosco and Moses Centre of Jokes at 'Heart of Greed' Promotion - Linda Accidentally Reveals Herself

Bosco and Moses Centre of Jokes at 'Heart of Greed' Promotion - Linda Accidentally Reveals Herself
April 19, 2007

TVB series "Heart of Greed" announced its ratings yesterday and held a promotional event in a Sai Kung Watersports Centre, attended by cast members including Moses Chan, Ha Yu, Bosco Wong, Fala Chen, Lai Lok Yi, Linda Chung, Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung. Moses and Bosco were once again the brunt of everyone's jokes and when Ha Yu asked Moses who he liked the most, everyone shouted out "Bernice Liu", leaving him very embarrassed. When Bosco mentioned that in the series, his favourite was Tavia Yeung, she jokingly pointed out that her name also has the word 'Yi'. When Louis Yuen called out to everyone: "We have invited Myolie here today!", Bosco was very shocked and looked over, making everyone laugh.

Although they were playing beach volleyball, all the artistes were fully clothed and only Tavia appeared in a strap top, looking quite sexy. She smiles: "Yes, because Fala would not take her [top] off." When she heard this, Fala said: "I will let her do it!" Tavia replied: ""Thank you, big sis Fala." When she was asked by reporters whether she would follow Fala and go down the sexy route, Fala interjected: "She can if she increases her 'cup'." Fala also explained that she kept herself covered up because she was avoiding the sun.

When the competition got underway, the red team's Bosco and Tavia and the yellow team's Raymond and Linda had to race to collect a ball from the sea on the watercycles, but the rather vicious competition led them to have some knocks and crashes along the way. After this race, the volleyball started and each team sent out one male and one female representative to play. Although their skills were very mediocre, they were well matched and in the end, they had to decide the winners by splitting the teams into a men vs women contest. Thanks to a little skill from Linda, the ladies emerged victorious. Although Linda was careful with her outfit, there was one point where she accidentally revealed herself when she was sitting on the watercycle. Asked why she chose the clothes she did, she says that she knew that they would be playing ball, so she decided to keep covered up: "I do like playing volleyball, but I didn't play my best today, maybe because the court was too small."

For Moses and Linda who both celebrate April birthdays, the crew prepared some birthday cakes for them after the event and with his birthday on 16th, Moses says that his age is a secret and on his birthday this year, he visited Disneyland with his family. Ha Yu suggested that the birthday girl and boy should share a kiss, but Moses refused and just patted his shoulder, arguing that he was not afraid of Bernice being jealous, just that among the ABC's, he is rather conservative. Linda also refused to kiss Moses, saying that this is too intimate.

With his tall build, Lok Yi has been photographed with a girl who is just five feet tall and they have been described as 'A Ratbox on a Lamp-post' [Chinese colloquial saying for a small girl dating a tall man]. Asked about this at the event, he clarified that she is not his girlfriend and not someone he is courting. There were a big group of friends out barbecueing that day and he joined his female friend to help her buy provisions at the supermarket. He said a little impatiently: "Let them write, I don't mind and I have not read it. The most important thing is not to bother my friends." He says that of course there are men and women among his friends and if he is actually dating, then he will not actively hide it, but there is no need to make a big announcement either because he is not a very famous star or idol. Asked who is girlfriend actually is, he laughs out loud and says: "What? It is Yoyo [Mung]! (You are fighting with Ekin?) I often fight with Ekin! Haha!"

Raymond attended the event sporting an injury and at first, he joked that he was bitten by a 'snake' when he was filming in China, but later he explained that he was filming a scene with Charmaine Sheh where he had to chase her car, but he sprained his left ankle in the process. Asked if this was caused by lack of exercise, he denied this and said that he does a lot of sport, such much that his bones have loosened now. He says: "I am not very good at volleyball though - I belong to the International Amateur Don't-know-how-to-play Volleyball

Tavia Yeung became a bad woman, successfully breaking through

Tavia Yeung became a bad woman, successfully breaking through
2nd of May 2007

In TVB Series Heart of Greed which is broadcasting now, the episodes aired every night will become the talk of the town. Netizens come online to leave messages, like previous night it spoke of Tavia Yeung smoking and drinking after receiving a shock, becoming the new topic of discussion. There are even netizens who stated that they started liking her because of her bad role, allowing Tavia who always played ‘little’ women breakthrough.

In the previous night’s episode, Tavia Yeung who played model Cheung Man Lai remarried Tong Chi Yat (Bosco Wong) and at the wedding banquet the second mum (Susanne Kwan) tipped off the media. In low spirits, she turned to smoking and drinking to let off stream.

After the scene was broadcasted, it immediately became a hot debate by netizens. As Tavia’s performance is very convincing, there are people who suspected that she is the same in real life. However, most netizens do not believe this is to be real, even some stated that they never felt anything special for Tavia in her usual portrayal of ‘little’ women, yet feel that she is another of a kind and gradually start liking her after acting as a bad woman in Heart of Greed. Her change in image successful and attracting new fans, Tavia expressed that she is very happy. “I really never thought that anyone will like this role, to attract different kinds of fans is a good thing. Truthfully speaking, this is totally different from my usual roles, at first I was worried that because of the adultery, my character will not be likable and actually in the start, I was worried that drinking and smoking will serve as a bad example to kids. Later on, I realised this is needed for the development of the storyline but I have to clarify: in real life, I do not know how to smoke."

To Tavia Yeung, this role of Cheung Man Lai is “Virgin going to sea” because she has to smoke onscreen for the first time. She recalled filming this scene: “Because I have to smoke aggressively, I coughed until I nearly died, smoking turned out to be difficult and because I have to film til late, I realized later on that it will cause dizziness.” As for this bad woman, Tavia emphasised: “Actually, she is not considered a bad woman, not to that extent. Because I played a model, I have to be more feminine. On the contrast, I think I am not bad enough and I hope I will have the chance to play ‘Super bad woman’, like Shirley Yeung in Brink of Law, jumping out of acting stereotypes requires a new breakthrough.” Although in the series, she played a couple who is having an affair with Bosco, naturally there is quite a number of bodily contact but the two are not at all awkward during filming. Tavia said: “Because I have already worked with Bosco in Dicey Business, we are familiar with each other and have chemistry.” However she said laughingly that she was at her happiest when filming the scenes of adultery because she donned hats, saving time on doing makeup and her hair.
